Carpeting
Suntec Singapore discourages painting or activities that generate dust such as sawing, sanding or major construction within these carpeted areas. For such activities, contractors must provide appropriate coverings to protect the building’s furnishings and infrastructure.
Level 2 & 3
Level 2 and 3 event spaces have permanent carpeting and event organisers must take caution to avoid causing damage.
Heavy movements at levels 2 and 3 are restricted during evening hours from 2200hrs - 0700hrs daily. For freight move-in or heavy movement of items within levels 2 and 3 spaces, contractors are required to protect the carpeted areas with plywood planking during move-in and move-out. Similarly, protective planking should be used on tiled areas at levels 2 and 3.
Level 4 & 6
For exhibitions, level 4 halls are provided without carpeting. Carpet tiles can be provided for seminar and F&B event usage at an additional charge. Please refer to your licensing agreement for an overview of inclusions. If carpeting is provided by the Centre during works which require the use of mechanical machineries such as boom lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts within level 4 and level 6 halls, the contractor is required to provide wooden planking to protect the carpeting from damage and avoid adjusting the alignment of carpet tiles.
Red Carpet
The Centre can provide red carpets for F&B and seminar events on a complimentary basis. For events taking place on levels 2, 3 and 6, needle-punch red carpets of varying sizes can be deployed.
For events at level 4 where carpeted tiles are utilised, 1m x 1m red carpet tiles can be deployed.
