The usage of power tools which includes, but are not limited to, angle grinders, reciprocating saw, table saw and oscillating saw should be tested prior to onsite use and deemed safe for use. The following applies when using power tools:

• Power tools are not permitted on carpeted areas in the Centre
• Dustbags should be provided for equipment used for sanding or cutting of wood. In the absence of dust bags, protective covering must be deployed as an alternative
• Mechanical equipment that can produce sparks such as angle grinders must have the necessary precautionary measures in place to avoid the probability of fire, and event organisers should notify the Centre using AP-014 Naked Flames, Candles, Drapery, Smoke & Heat Emitting Items Permit.
• Brick and tile cutting saws are not permitted in the Centre
